DEFINITION Bos taurus aquaporin 7 (AQP7), mRNA.
ACCESSION NM_001076378 XM_867324
VERSION NM_001076378.2
KEYWORDS RefSeq.
SOURCE Bos taurus (domestic cattle)
ORGANISM Bos taurus
Eukaryota; Metazoa; Chordata; Craniata; Vertebrata; Euteleostomi;
Mammalia; Eutheria; Laurasiatheria; Artiodactyla; Ruminantia;
Pecora; Bovidae; Bovinae; Bos.

TITLE Expression and localization of aquaporins 3 and 7 in bull
spermatozoa and their relevance to sperm motility after
cryopreservation
JOURNAL J. Reprod. Dev. 64 (4), 327-335 (2018)
PUBMED 29798965
REMARK GeneRIF: Our findings suggest that AQP3 and AQP7 are possibly
involved in the tolerance to freeze-thawing in bull spermatozoa,
particularly in the sperm's tail.
REFERENCE 2 (bases 1 to 1349)
AUTHORS Prieto-Martinez N, Morato R, Muino R, Hidalgo CO, Rodriguez-Gil JE,
Bonet S and Yeste M.
TITLE Aquaglyceroporins 3 and 7 in bull spermatozoa: identification,
localisation and their relationship with sperm cryotolerance
JOURNAL Reprod. Fertil. Dev. 29 (6), 1249-1259 (2017)
PUBMED 27221122
REMARK GeneRIF: Data suggest that AQP3 is localized to mid-piece of bull
spermatozoa; AQP7 is localized to mid-piece and post-acrosomal
region of bull spermatozoa. Neither relative abundance of AQP3 or
AQP7 nor their localization patterns is altered by
cryopreservation; individual differences between bull ejaculates
appear to be common. Abundance of AQP7 is higher in ejaculates with
good versus poor freezability in cryopreservation.

S and Mielenz M.
TITLE Short communication: aquaporin-7 mRNA in adipose depots of
primiparous and pluriparous dairy cows: long-term physiological and
conjugated linoleic acid-induced changes
JOURNAL J. Dairy Sci. 96 (7), 4508-4513 (2013)
PUBMED 23684044
REMARK GeneRIF: a modulatory effect of conjugated linoleic acids on
aquaporin 7 messenger RNA abundance in dairy cows is not supported
by our study

TITLE A whole-genome assembly of the domestic cow, Bos taurus
JOURNAL Genome Biol. 10 (4), R42 (2009)
PUBMED 19393038
COMMENT PROVISIONAL REFSEQ: This record has not yet been subject to final
NCBI review. The reference sequence was derived from BC109728.1.
On Aug 30, 2012 this sequence version replaced NM_001076378.1.
